  • #yt:H8PWl17uDrE Recently appointed, Miguel Cyrille presents us his exclusive new collection “contraste “. He confesses us his secrets of inspiration for this shooting.   LiveCoiffure : Miguel, since when photography is a passion for you? Miguel Cyrille : since my studies. I started to study Fine Arts in Martinique, and then I entered a school of visual communication and applied arts. I first was interested in drawing. Thanks to the drawing techniques, I was sensitized to lighting. Later, I discovered photography. But with one or the other, women are my muses.   LC : Can you make a living from your art? MC : No, not yet, but why not a day. At the moment, I’m rather occupied with my seventy hours at the office of the company I set up which aims at creating websites and now, only 15% of my time is dedicated to photography.   LC : What do you want to show through your photos? MC : I try to capture the moment of course but in particular reflecting the aesthetic of the moment.   LC: What does that mean? MC : Well, imagine with an old video recorder, at the moment I shoot, it’s like someone presses the button “pause” and the capture image of that moment has to make react the spectator.   LC : What is your photographic world? MC : it is near fashion even I know that I’m far from my dreams and my objectives! But I am a devotee of contemporary fashion and aesthetic world with glamour and a zest of provocation. Just what is necessary to break a bit the rules imposed by society without our knowledge.     LC : Why creating a collection ? MC : I first was attracted by a place, an old flat in Lyon in a building where Jean Moulin lived, for the historic anecdote. I was lucky to visit it during a film shooting on the résistance by the way. It is going to be renovated, that’s why I wanted to capture its soul before that.     LC : And so? MC : Well, I wanted to immortalize it with construction of images and at the same telling my story: Four women with tastes completely different which could have live there. A unique place, unchanged for so long that it is a real contrast with all these muses.   LC : Which explains the title “contraste”? MC : yes, indeed! Everything is opposition, dissonance between the modernity of the four look and the decor at the least dusty, old-fashioned.   LC : And the result? MC : I obtain a kaleidoscope for the different interpretations. I gave a name to each of them, “esprit bohème”, “la néo romantique”, “boucle affûtée” and “douce épice d’or “.     Contraste- LC : And the team with all that? MC : I like working with my friend Christine Margossian, We know so much what each other is thinking about beauty that we don’t need to speak anymore. And she is my Schrubb friend (for those who don’t know what it is, it is rum from Martinique that my mum made her discover and since that day…) I’m not joking, then regarding the design, it was his friend, designer, Denis Durand who intervened and Diane, a make-p artist discovered during this shooting.   LC : What’s the use of this finally since you’re making a living from web? MC : First pleasure, and then to go nearer of the aesthetic form that I’m seeking or that I’m trying to reach.   LC : why images of Lyon in your clip? MC : to pay homage to the shooting place of course but also to exhibit this city full of charm, secrets (ex : Lyon’s catacombs) and surprises like the traboules. I wanted to show places more or less famous like the passerelle des quatre vents, the square Bellecour and its big wheel and then the Eiffel tour from Fourvière !   I take this opportunity to thank the production of LiveCoiffure.com which honored me by taking me as subject in its new heading and which enabled me to express myself about this collection “ contraste “.
