  • " I think that every women personified beauty ", that is what he said to the Internet site aufeminin.com when they ask him about the way he sees women.    ©Patrick Alès- Service Presse Alès Groupe Patrick Alès ( is real name is Jésus Gonzalès) was born in 1930 in Spain, that he had to flee because of the civil war that devastated the country. When he was 16, he decided to move to Paris, he was hired as a courier in one of the biggest hairdresser salon of that time. After he climbed the ladder of success, and proved his talent, he created, in 1964, the brushing. His patent was bought by L'Oreal ten years later. In 1965, he created the " l’Espace Beauté Patrick Alès ", where he wanted, as he said many times " make women more beautiful ". In the same time, he climbed the ladder of success and became a famous and international hairdresser. He had the opportunity to do the hair of celebrities such as Edith Piaf, Jacky Kennedy or even Brigitte Bardot.

    He has green fingers

Lierac Patrick Alès was the first one to create a natural hair care, a concept that will spread around the world through his branches. In 1969, he founded the Alès Groupe company, specialist of hair and body care and top-of-the-range perfumes. To be able to propose such a diversity, the Alès Groupe formed a partnership with laboratories : Phyto, Lierac, Ducastel, Phytospecific and Caron. The cares proposed by the Groupe are made of plants, which Alès discovered the qualities after moving in Provence with his wife.

    An atypical salon

Is is at the number 37, Franklin Roosevelt Avenue (Paris) that Patrick Alès received his clients. A unique salon, that reminds of the " Grande Maison " spirit, with its privates cabins and its valets. Artists and other celebrities appreciated its discrete side as well as the professionalism of the crew : hairdressers, colourists, aestheticians, make-up artists and manicurists.   At 82 years old, Patrick Alès is still unknown to the general public. Today retired from the business world, he dedicates his times to research. A « reward » for the one who has always dreamed about being « hair doctor ». He is convinced and he said it in several interviews : " plants research is only beginning ".   Photo Crédit: press group Alès ALES GROUPE   Laureline Siguret for LiveCoiffure.com ►Discover the episode 1 of our dossier "scalp and hair": Antoine de Paris ►Discover the episode 2 of our dossier "scalp and hair": Alexandre de París ► Discover the episode 3 of our dossier "scalp and hair" : Carita sisters Discover the episode 4 of our dossier "scalp and hair" : Vidal Sassoon
