The house Gérard Laurent, in Forbach, is the story of two childhood friends united around their passion for more than twenty years now: fashion. Their partnership has become a brand synonymous of talent and of French elegance. Does this explain why both stylists have been showing the colors l’Oréal Professionnel ? Interview.

Gérard and Laurent, we learnt that among your novelties 2015, you will be part of the team of the hairdressers ambassadors l’Oréal Professionnel, why this choice ?
Indeed, we've been working as national ambassador Essential Looks for Schwarzkopf Professional (Portrait). We trained many hairdressers in the hexagon and abroad, we participated to shows, we shared our passion of the technique with that beautiful company.
Regarding the choice, the key word is daring: yes, after twenty years, we dare to question ourselves, we accept a new challenge to discover another world: l’Oréal Professionnel.

Apart from daring, what did seduce you ?
We are totally in love with fashion and tendencies. Our philosophy is to work the hair color for a natural result with that touch of sophistication, all of that respecting the hair. It appears that the company l’Oréal Professionnel conveys the same values.
We were also seduced by the technological advances to join that team and to follow our common vision of the French hairdressing.

Your hairdressing vision leads you to create collections, what messages do you like to transmit with your images ?
Above all, we like that our creation are wearable by the consumers. We propose eternal looks and finally we could describe the woman and the man of the House Gérard Laurent as very chic with a destroy or original touch. For example, a man wearing a suit and trainers and a woman wearing a jogging, heels and a tuxedo jacket ! For us, it is important to not be imprisoned in boxes.
That way, a haircut can have five propositions of hairstyles.

To do these hairstyles, these haircuts and hair colors, we can think that your team including 10 persons is trained a lot.
Training is our priority ! Laurent and I like above all sharing the fashion culture organizing press review sessions with the team, we are also very attentive to the codes conveyed by the artistic world and demanded in the salon.
It is important to say that thanks to our geographical situation near Germany, you can feel in the salon and in Forbach, an ambiance mixed by genres and cultures which confers an avant-gardist spirit which is perfect for us !
