  • Livecoiffure : You participated to the show Probst in Luxembourg, could you tell us more about this night?

    Anthony Galifot :
I did the show only with male models. I styled, shaved and cut beards. I used the men range Alter ego,, and clippers Wahl and Mizutani. It is always exciting to perform this show, I had a beautiful adrenaline rush, I had to be very focused to respect the rhythm of the music.

By the way the background soundtrack was “la prière du coiffeur" (the hairdresser’s prayer) : This institutional prayer that I wrote in my book and many people talk to me about it. The male show is a bit different than the female one, it is more relaxed. It was a great team, the boys were really adorable! The whole night was very beautiful with a very warm audience.

When I was asked to participate to the show and when I saw the other prestigious guests, I was more than honored and proud to have been invited!

  • Livecoiffure : You are an Artistic adviser and a trainer for Cyléa Formations through the C.A.C, could you explain us in details your job?

    Anthony Galifot :
The C.A.C  is my loving company, they believed in me, especially with Cyléa. Jacques Thill and other managers trusted me and gave me this possibility, it is very flattering.
There are agencies everywhere in France. I am an artistic adviser and I work in partnership with Albert Burelli, I help with trainings, everything in relation with visual beauty, collections and shootings. I am also a barber trainer since 5 years, we were the first center in France to provide trainings. But Cyléa is also a large panel of very complete trainings to better meet the needs of hairdressers in terms of technical and artistic trainings.
I am also a master technician and member of the international team Alter Ego : I sometimes work in a laboratory where I use different ingredients to creates different tones. We have our own range of colors.

Livecoiffure : Could you tell us about your book “  Autour du fauteuil “?

Anthony Galifot : Well, before I would write just for me because I liked it. One day, I started to write a short story to have a bit of fun and I received the literary award. I am a big reader and this inspired me, then people believed in me and pushed me to go further especially Pierre Bordage. I was lucky to meet him and have a dinner with him. He told me to try and I took my chance. I think that life now is composed of meetings and who we are today is the result of these meetings in our life. When I published Autour du fauteuil, it wasn’t easy at the start. It was thanks to Matthieu Aussel and Eve Laborderie-the editor-in-chief of l'Eclaireur- that my book was published.

Livecoiffure : What motivates you to have fun in all your activities?

Anthony Galifot : Why stopping at hairdressing? I like originality, creation, whether it is technical, visual or written. Creativity is very big, it is everywhere! During the show, I wanted to have the background soundtrack of the Rolling Stones whom I love. They represent my state of mind :  “ You can't always get what you want, and if you try sometime you find. You get what you need ! “ And I didn’t know that I was going to like some things before trying them. But especially, thanks to all the people I met I am who I am now. I would like to say thank you to the C.A.C  the trainers Cyléa, all of those who believed in me and of course my close friends and my family! One should never forget that one help each other. I would like to keep doing what I’m doing and share all of this with my audience, transmit emotions and pleasure! I like my whole team smiles at the end of the day and that everybody have fun!
