  • Livecoiffure : Could you talk about your Autumn-Winter collection Cotton Dream, what message do you want to transmit?

Francine Ladrière : My collection Cotton Dream aims to show this woman who needs to be spoiled, loved, protected. This results in a controlled hair with a comfortable texture. The hair is not tousled but worked in a seductive way. I really shaped a coated hair, very cottony. The white side accentuates even more this idea of dream and purity. The line is not very long, it was created to highlight some zones : cerebral and instinctive. I really worked these differences of color with subtlety and contouring. This technique accentuates these parts with small discreet touches but very visible at the same time. This is not a sharp result but a nuanced one. The woman of today is free of any convention, she wears comfortable material with a controlled hair to dive into the wonders of a dream of attractiveness.

Women like this finesse, this refinement. The real intelligence of the woman is also : not to show vulgarity but distinction. With my profession; it is funny and frightening to see that we have the power to transform a person.

  • Livecoiffure : Are you still in partnership with Fauvert ?

Francine Ladrière : Yes, we continue this partnership, let's say that I am totally seduced by the quality of their products. What I like is that they listen to the hairdressers. I have 6 persons working for me and who travel through France and abroad, also trained to represent Fauvert. This enables me to be aware, when these hairdressers from the four corners of France come back from their shows, of the development of Fauvert's clients. They give me their impressions, what they feel and how they see their profession evolving, this is very enriching! This collaboration goes on in the right direction and is growing day by day! I use the hairstyle and hair color products Fauvert, by the way I created my two last collections with these products. I love this brand because they really advise me, they recommend the product which is useful for the hairdresser and it will always the effects wanted.

Livecoiffure : Could you tell us about your concept “ The self-image via the wig” ?

Francine Ladrière : Yes, there is some change since 2013, the year during which I created this concept. Opened to hairdressers who want to transmit their know-how adding a new human dimension to their profession, they help these persons living with alopecia and who don’t really handle chemotherapy.
Creating wigs to enable women to keep a semblance of dignity and femininity. I love seeing their face lighting up when they see the final result! I feel very involved in that cause and my partners are involved too. For example, I gave a volume training this week in Paris with the brand Complement Hair.
We seek solutions to respond to these desperate women. This is also part of my work, I can’t conceive that they are outside persons who “make” wigs without a real accompaniment. This is part of our training, you must broaden the scope and be at the forefront technically and especially psychologically to be prepared.

We want to offer solutions and happiness to these women. The head in the stars with the artistic side and the feet on the ground with the medical reality.
