  • Laurent Decreton, hairdresser and ambassador for L'Oréal Professionnel, the director of Maison de beauté in Metz and Thionville's Studio de beauté, showed his talent in Luxembourg during an event organised by the CAC (craftsmen hairdresser central). He explained to us the script for his show.   LiveCoiffure :
Laurent, which theme or story did tell during your show ?
Laurent Decreton : the "ateliertells the story of a craftsman's life in three days and nights. He is shaping his work. I wanted to highlight this man, by showing that when he is doing somebody's hair, he's meticulous, pays attention to detail. Therefore, in an atmosphere full of suspense and emotion, we can see him create, think and observe the evolution of his creations. On day one, he searches. On day two, he start working and on day three, the masterpiece is complete !   LC : how did you organized your show ? LD : I asked the directors, Joël and Jérémy Guillermain to take care of the show. It took us three days to build it. On the first day we wrote the script, the second day we rehearsed and the third day, we prepared everything backstage. We used the haute couture creations of the Romanian fashion designer, Botezu Cataline, to dress the models. And finally, Tanya Zekkout was in charge of matching the model's accessories with their clothes.   LC : how would you characterize the XXI century's craftsman ? LD : His creations are influenced by the job's classical and inevitable basis, like for example, curling iron and hair rollers. Besides, my team and I used those classical techniques to do our model’s hair...   LC : when you are on stage, what is the message you want to pass on to the spectators ? LD : I like to marry French delicacy with stylization, make-up and hairdressing. All I want his pass on my vision of beauty in three points : Delicacy, Modernity and Work !   During this interview, we noticed the importance of the number three for our special guest Laurent Decreton.
